The golf committee coordinates the Annual Golf Classic Tournament; the inter-Chamber, Home and Home and Friendship Golf Tournaments to form camaraderie among other Chambers and networking with other golfing groups.

A Taste of Hilo
This committee coordinates the registered event with the dedicated culinary establishments to showcase their food artistry. The Hawaii Community College is the beneficiary of this educational fundraiser and provides scholarships to worthy recipients and assists with funding to faculty and staff development.

Our 11th event is scheduled for Sunday, October 18, 2009 from 1 to 3 pm at the Honpa Hongwanji Sangha Hall located at 398 Kilauea Avenue. The highlight this year will be sushi demonstrations by a Sushi Chef followed by "hands on" and "take home" your creation.
Tickets are $40 pre-sale and $60 at the door.

International Festival of the Pacific
This committee coordinates the festival to foster goodwill through social activities including the popular Lantern Parade when the heavy O-Mikoshi is carried through Hilo town by the energetic and boisterous cadets. This event fosters camaraderie among the officers and cadets of the Japan Maritime National Institute for Sea Training and our United States Military personnel with our Chamber and the community.
